Falcons call up uncapped leg-spinner after third straight defeat
Sagar Dangol, 21, joins the squad after taking 19 wickets in the domestic one-day competition.
Lalitpur Falcons have added 21-year-old leg-spinner Sagar Dangol to their squad after losing their first three games of the season.
Dangol was the leading wicket-taker in this year's domestic one-day competition, with 19 wickets at an economy rate of 4.6. He has not played in the league before.
Why now
Falcons have bowled only one specialist spinner in their three games, and their part-time options have gone for almost ten an over. Head coach Prakash Maharjan said the team needed "someone who can take wickets in the middle overs, not just stop runs".
Where he fits
Dangol is likely to replace a seamer for Sunday's game against Janakpur Strikers at Mulpani, giving Falcons two spinners for the first time this season.
Falcons will have three league games left after Sunday, and will probably need to win all of them to reach the playoffs.
